T-Hawks Fall to Sevastopol The Thunderhawk boys fell to Sevastopol on Friday, January 18th, at Institute. Their record falls to 5-7.
Thunderhawks Improve Its Record to 5-6 The O.N.H.S. T-hawks defeated St. Thomas Aquinas, Marinette, 52-50 in an exciting comeback victory on January 8. Nick Cantu led all scorers with 19 points, his final two on free throws with 8 seconds remaining. Evander Delgado stole the ball to seal the victory. Rebounding, defense, and shot-blocking characterized the Oneida effort, led by the work down low by Dylan Wheelock and Randall Danforth. The Thunderhawks play next at home on January 10 at 6:30 PM against Bowler. Gibraltar Wins Inside Gibraltar High School defeated O.N.H.S. 72-51 on January 4, 2008, at Fish Creek. This despite the T-Hawks 27-0 edge in treys. Oneida drops to 4-6 with the loss. The boys travel next to Marinette on January 8 for a game against St. Thomas Aquinas.
Boys' Team Loses Two The O.N.H.S. boys' basketball team lost both of its games in the Gresham Holiday tournament on December 28 and 29. They lost their first game to Juda High School, 72-42. The second game was a hard-fought game that ended in a heart-breaking loss, 51-50, to host school Gresham.
Boys' Basketball Team Improves to 4-3 The Thunderhawks won its third straight with a 71-53 win at Lac Courte Oreilles on Dec. 14, 2007. In the game Truman Powless scored 27, Nick Cantu, 24, Dylan Wheelock, 7, and Frank Clary, 6.
