November 2, 2007 Hello Parents and Students,
At 5:30 PM on Wednesday, November 7, there will be a mandatory meeting for parents and prospective basketball players in the high school library. Students interested in participating should attend. Everyone needs to have a signed physical and a signed student contract on file for the current school year. (Those who competed in fall sports already have these on file.)
At 5:30 PM on Thursday, November 8, there will be a similar parent-player meeting for wrestling in the high school library. Everyone needs to have a signed physical and a signed student contract on file for the current school year. (Those who competed in fall sports already have these on file.)
Practices for basketball and wrestling begin on November 13 at 3:30 till 5:00 PM. Skin-fold tests for the wrestlers will be done at noon on November 13 in the high school teachers’ lounge.
Parents are encouraged to pick up their children (those who don’t drive their own vehicles) after practices rather than using the transit buses.

The Thunderhawks scored on their first two positions. With six seconds remaining in the first half, the T-Hawks tried to add another touchdown. They came up just inches short. The score at halftime was 14-7. The half time intermission was prolonged by a one and a half hour weather delay. But the Thunderhawks came out ready to play. The game was put out of reach on a 50 yard touchdown pass by Evander Delgado to Nick Cantu. The score was now 22-7. Sheboygan Lutheran scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, making the score 22-20 with 1:30 left on the clock. On the 45 yard line with seconds left, the T-Hawk defense stopped Sheboygan Lutheran on a 4th-and-10 play to secure the victory for Oneida. The Oneida Thunderhawks record is now 3-2.
