Elementary School Curriculum

The Oneida Nation Elementary school (ONES) founded in 1979 has been accredited under North Central Association since 1990. The professional staff under the auspices of the Oneida School Board require all staff to hold State of Wisconsin licenses for the areas they teach. The following academic subjects have been part of our curriculum since 1979: Oneida Language and Culture, Math, Reading, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Technology, Art , Health, and Music. The School Board elected to participate in the Bureau of Indian Affairs initiative to meet the President’s Improving America’s Schools Act and Goals 2000 by submitting the Consolidated Reform Plan to the Office of Indian Education in 1995.
