PARENT COMMITTEE MEETING

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 1,2005

TURTLE SCHOOL

9:30 am

 

Present: Sue Doxtator, Deb Reiter-Mehojah, Cliff

Cornelius, Lynn King, Jennifer Jamies, Laurie and

Anthony Johnson, Nancy Blashka, Evelyn Elm

Meeting was called to order at 9:05 AM.

1. Request for funds for the "Meet -Greet and Eat" "Open House" on Sept 7

Open House on September 7

A motion was made by Deb Reiter-Mehojah to Approve of the request to fund this open house .

With the following stipulations;

    A. That one-half of the Barnes and Noble gift Certificates and one of the "Native Peoples" subscription be split between the high-school and the      elementary school.

    B. That the door prize gifts be split proportionately between the high school and elementary based on school population.

Motion was seconded by Cliff Cornelius . Motion carried.

Request for matching funds for football jerseys by the football team was denied based on the reason this is not a "need" for students. It is nice but their success as a football participant is not dependent on having names on jerseys.

Band Requests: Approval to pay summer band programs were as follows:

Motion was made by Deb Reiter-Mehojah to pay as follows:

A. Summer Band Camp To fund "option #3 Summer Starter Band $360.00

Seconded by Cliff Cornelius. Motion carried.

Next meeting date is September 15, 2005 at 6:30 P.M. at the Turtle School Cafeteria. Debbie Reiter-Mehojah will send out the flyers. Flyers will also be available at the open house at both schools.
